Our Team

Meet the "Powder Me Pretty" team!

We are very honored to say that our beauty team consists of some of the most talented artists in the Asheville area! Get to know our team a little better, and hey, maybe make a friend in the process!

I have been a licensed skin therapist and professional makeup artist for twelve years. Over the years I found my passion in working with clients to enhance their natural beauty through  makeup & skin-care. I started Powder Me Pretty in 2009 as my love for weddings and working with brides started to grow. I believe a wedding day is one of the most beautiful and significant days of a persons life and I truly feel honored every time a bride invites me in to be a small part of their very special day.

When I am not creating art with my clients I am spending my days with my three young daughters, Isabella, River, and Olive, and my other half, Brian. On any given day we can be found adventuring and exploring new places, wandering and taking in life in places we have been a thousand times, or just cozying up at home making art, dressing up, and playing make believe.

“Beauty isn’t about having a pretty face. It is about having a pretty mind, a pretty heart, and most importantly a beautiful soul.”

I also offer services for all special events, personal one-on-one makeup tutorials, film, & photo shoots for personal sessions and branding.

I live a very blessed life right here in Western North Carolina. Married to a wonderful man for 10 years now, Jason and I have the joy of raising our two gorgeous children, Ava and Nolan in this beautiful place. I have been a licensed cosmetologist since 2009 and worked in a salon environment up until August of 2016. I loved my job and the women I worked with but I longed to be a stay at home mom. With that being said though I didn't want to leave the beauty industry completely. Thankfully early on in my career I had started doing weddings and loved being a part of that atmosphere. Joanna and I have been doing weddings together for a few years now and I feel very honored to be a part of her business. It allows me to do something I love, be a part of someones special day and stay at home with my babies. I am thankful for the position I have here at Powder Me Pretty and I love what I do!

I recently relocated to Asheville NC from Charleston SC . I am a mother to four beautiful boys. I enjoy abstract art, traveling, and following the latest tips/trends in both makeup and fashion. At the age of 18 I became a certified makeup artist through M.A.C. Since then, I have become a skincare specialist though Origins cosmetics, a model through Millie Lewis, and most recently a CNA specializing in pediatrics. I began freelance work for my sister, Joanna Ferree, because I believe she is one of the best in the industry. I am looking forward to all of our weddings to come in 2018!

I believe that we are all given talents and opportunities for a reason. However, it’s how we choose to use those talents and opportunities that really matter. When I’m applying a lady’s makeup, I’m not only using my skills to enhance her natural beauty, but I’m also given the opportunity to to get to know her and send a little encouragement and positivity her way.

Whether you are classy, fashion-forward, or edgy, I promise to truly listen to you and give you the look that you desire for your special day.

I have been mastering the “art of hair” for a decade now. Over this time, I have had the pleasure of working with many amazing brides in and around the Asheville area. I pride myself in making sure a bride feels comfortable. Listening and asking questions are the best ways to insure a positive experience! Since the beginning my goal has remained the same; to give every bride that stunning look that makes them feel confidently beautiful! From sleek and classic to soft and undone, my expertise allows me to create several unique styles to please any bride!

Hello all! My name is Erin Runion and I am a full time stylist at a local Asheville salon, Bella Chic. I've been doing hair since 2014. Once I got started doing hair, the doors of opportunity kept opening for me, and I knew this is what I was supposed to be doing with my life. I absolutely love the look on a clients face when they see their new look, whether it be color, cut or that special updo for their upcoming day! Making people feel their best is a very rewarding job.

When I'm not doing hair, I am usually cuddling with my two four legged children, watching chopped on the food network, either attending a VA tech football game with my husband (Go Hokies) or at the baseball field watching him coach kids the game he loves the most. Obviously sports are a big part of our lives. I was born and raised in Madison County just outside of Asheville and it brings me so much joy to be able to call this beautiful place home, especially when couples choose it for their special day! I sincerely hope every little detail of your planning goes smoothly and for you to enjoy it! I hope you choose Powder Me Pretty to be apart of your special day, and look forward to meeting you!

Born and raised here in the mountains of Western North Carolina. I love summertime and sunshine, traveling, and the beach is one of my favorite places, but the mountain will always be my home. I am a blessed mom and wife, lover of all animals, and a Duke basketball fanatic. I am passionate about skincare and makeup and love using my passion to help my clients feel beautiful and confident on their special day.

"Never lose an opportunity of seeing anything beautiful, for beauty is in God's handwriting." Ralph Waldo Emerson

I attended cosmetology school 15 years ago. I then spent several years traveling and trying out different career paths, before hiking the Appalachian trail and landing in Asheville 8 years ago. It was here that I discovered a passion for bridal hair and makeup, attended herbalism school, and also obtained an esthetician license to further my knowledge of skincare and beauty from the inside out. I truly love working with brides to find a personalized look that will give that glow on your special day! In addition to wedding hair and makeup, I also works as an esthetician at a spa in Asheville. On off days, I can be found exploring the mountains and living the simple life with my kids and partner, Matt.

We are proud of our high standards for the work we create. We're confident that you will find the value in our services and skill level while working with us!
